USA Cycling MTB camp for junior to U-23 riders

Last week Mark, myself, Greg Frozely and Alison Dunlap worked a camp here in Colorado Springs coaching MTB riders from 14yr old juniors to U-23 riders.

The camp entailed basic skills, field tests, a hillclimb race up the shutes and a morning at the velodrome learning to ride track bikes

A Little Taste of Heaven

Try the drink and you'll most likely think the same thing. Spike is the "Hardcore Energy Drink" that helps you focus and gives you energy without giving you the caffiene jitters at the same time. And it tastes good too which is a welcome change from most energy drinks. We recommend starting off slowly with only half a can till you know how your body responds to it...they don't put warnings on the can simply for marketing purposes.

Thanks to Spike, I was able do a big mtb ride yesterday afternoon instead of hanging out in an office working on TPS reports. After a solid session of intervals, I (Mark is feeling weak as a kitten from coming down with a cold) met up with some friends for a mtb ride that was super fun, after a good rain yesteday the trails were hooking up...super hero traction comes to mind! Every time I mount the new Primus Mootry 29er I fall in love with it over and over again, it is by far the best mtb I've ever ridden. I can rail around turns without losing traction, faster I than I've ever riddin I think. James Herrera (pushyourlimit.com) and Mike Hall may agree with me after trying, unsuccessfully, to keep up on the downhills yesterday. Yeah, that was pretty fun (sorry James). I want to give a big high-five to Stephy for killing it on the climbs last night and riding the see-saw in the skills park last night, well done!
